JP's Pet Parlours Terms & Conditions

YOUR PET'S HEALTH AND WELFEAR: By attending your booked appointment you as the owner confirm that your dog is fit and health. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs is entirely at the owners risks. I do not take responsibility if your dog develops an allergic reaction to shampoos, conditioners or any other grooming product. (Please do inform me of any ANY skin or health problems your dog may have as measures can be put in place to minimise certain factors)

MY SAFETY: I reserve the right to muzzle your dog if it represents danger to me. Any dog who shows aggression may be refused and sent home. Please let me know of any known behaviour problems your dog may have at the time of booking an appointment. Some reactive dogs may be groomed depending on a discussion at the time of booking.

GROOMING ACCIDENTS: Accidents can happen as I use very sharp professional grooming scissors and clippers on a moving object (your dog). Every precaution will be taken to prevent any injury. If an accident does occur in which I need to take your dog to a local vet please be aware you may be liable for any costs. (If this was to happen I will take your dog to the closest vets to the salon (Brookfield Veterinary Practice, 1 Old Eign Hill HR1 1TU) I am NOT liable for any death if the dog has any related health conditions prior to the appointment.

MATTED & NEGLECTED COATS: I do not accept liability for any conditions arising following the clipping of a matted dog. This can include irritation, redness or nicks. conditions can begin underneath the matts/knots which will only been seen once the coat has been removed. I will advise if I feel a vet needs to take a look at your dog. Be aware that it will feel odd to your dog to have all these matts/knots removed so please be vigilant in the days after a clip off to prevent any unnecessary injuries occurring from scratching. If your dog requires a clip off it will be an extra £10 as clipping a matted/knotty coats puts more pressure on my equipment and blunt them. (A Matted form will need to be signed prior to the appointment).

EAR PLUCKING: Removing the hair can irritate the delicate skin of the ear canals and lead to ear problems. Plucking the dead hair from a dogs ear leaves minute openings on the skin which bacteria could settle in more easily. I only pluck ears if requested by the owner and only after the ears have been cleaned to reduce risk of bacteria. Ear plucking can be very beneficial with wool coated breeds as reduces the risk of ear infected caused by the dead hair. This can also be beneficial for wool crossed breed such as cockerpoos and labradoodles.

FLEASE: If your dog/s are found to have fleas when in the salon and I have not been informed by you (the owner) there will be an additional cost of £10 to pay for the products required for me to treat the salon. If you have informed me at the time of booking depending on the situation your dog may be refused until the fleas have gone or they will be groomed and extra steps will be put in place. e.g. use of flea shampoo and removal of dog beds and other equipment before your dog enters the salon. (A small fee of £5 extra to cover the cost of extra flea shampoo and extra time taken)

TIME KEEPING: I work by appointment only. Please be punctual. If you are more than 15 minuets late to your appointment then it will be cancelled and rescheduled. If you are more than 15 minutes late I will not have enough time to complete the groom resulting in a unfinished dog. Every dog has its own set amount of time it will take and if late it will run into the following appointment. You will be charged £5 per every 15 minutes that you are late to pick up your dog/s as I can not accept the next dog until you have picked up yours.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS: I request more than 24 hours notice of a cancelled appointment. If you cancel your appointment in less than 24 hours you will be charged 50% of the total groom price. If less than 24 hours notice is given I don't have enough time to fill the empty slot. If this happens you will also need to pay a 50% non refundable deposit when booking the next appointment. If you do not show up to your appointment without telling me you are unable to make it then you will be charged 100% of the total groom. If this happens you will need to pay a 50% non refundable deposit for the next appointment. confirmation and reminders of an appointment will be sent.

PAYMENTS: There are a few ways to pay. You can either pay cash, bank transfer or by card (Card Machine). A payment must be made for an appointment before the dog leaves the salon. You are also welcome to pay for the appointment at the time of booking.

PHOTOGRAPHS: Photos of your dog/s may be taken before, during and after their groom. These photos will be used on my business social media only for business use such as advertisement. If you do not wish for your dog/s photos to be taken then please let me know at the first booking so that I can make a note on your dogs profile so that no photos will be taken.
